3 – Prerequisites and Accessing Authrator
Prerequisites
Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) with JavaScript enabled.
Active internet connection to load the Authrator web client from https://www.authrator.com/#/app.
Desktop application for Windows: installable client that runs both online (live API calls) and offline (mocked requests, private/internal network and saved collections).
(Optional) Access credentials for APIs you intend to test.
Accessing Authrator
Open your browser and navigate to https://www.authrator.com/#/app.
If prompted, log in with your Authrator account or skip the sign in. Only difference between two is that without sign-in, your data is stored locally not in cloud workspace.
You will land on the main dashboard showing the Menu Bar, Sidebars, Address Bar, Tabs Section, and Response Panel.
Creating Your First API Request in the Address Bar, select the HTTP method (e.g., GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH).
Enter the target API endpoint URL.
(Optional) Click the Params, Body, or Headers tabs to add additional data.
Click Send.
View the response status, headers, and payload in the Response Panel
